Winter duvets
What is a winter duvet?
A winter duvet is for those who need more warmth when the nights get colder. The natural insulating ability of down helps retain body heat, while the duvet feels soft and airy. You get an enveloping feeling without the duvet having to feel heavy.
At EngmoDun, we believe that even winter should feel soft. When the wind blows outside the window, you can snuggle down, pull the duvet around you, and relax.
Why you should choose a winter duvet
Do you like sleeping in a chilly bedroom? Or are you someone who likes to pull the duvet a little closer to your body? Then a winter duvet might be right for you. It’s not about choosing the duvet that provides the most warmth, but about finding the one that feels right for you.
With a down winter duvet you get:
• Natural insulation that helps preserve body heat
• A soft and airy filling with low weight
• A supple, enveloping feeling on chilly nights
Winter can be fresh and crisp. Your bed can be the place where you land softly.
The unique properties of down
Down is a natural material that combines warmth with lightness. Its airy structure insulates, while the material breathes. That’s what makes down so pleasant to snuggle into—even when you need a little more warmth around you.
At EngmoDun, we choose our down with care. Every batch undergoes thorough quality controls, and our craftsmanship is based on experience, tradition, and innovation. Care is present all the way, from the selected down to the finished duvet.
Find the right winter duvet
Everyone experiences warmth and cold in their own way. Some people feel cold as soon as autumn arrives. Others only need a little extra warmth during the coldest nights of the year. So let your own needs decide, not just the season.
When choosing a duvet, you can consider:
• How easily you get cold when you sleep
• The temperature in your bedroom
• How much warmth you prefer during the night
For those who get cold easily, we recommend “I always freeze”, which is available in the Astrid and Cecilia series. Astrid wraps you in European goose down, while Cecilia envelops you with soft eiderdown.
If you don’t need as much extra warmth, “I sometimes freeze” can be an alternative. Which duvet suits you best is individual. It should feel right for you when you turn off the light and pull the duvet around you.
Victoria
Victoria is our very finest duvet, and contains 100% Icelandic eider down. The down is hand-collected from the eiders’ nests, and the duvets are sewn with genuine mulberry silk from the Bombyx Mori butterfly.
Louise
Queen Louise of Sweden was a warm-hearted, thoughtful woman. Louise is also one of our finest duvets. The goose and eider down that fills the soft duvets warm just right, and they are available in two different thicknesses.
Astrid
Astrid of Sweden was an unusually beautiful princess. She was also an unusually talented seamstress. This is why we have ascribed her name to an unusually elegant and well-sewn duvet.
Cecilia
Cecilia is like a featherlight breeze out at sea. She cools comfortably on a summer night, but can also warm on a cool autumn night. The soft duvet adjusts to your body temperature, and is filled with finest muscovy down.
